It's hard to believe that we've only been here for a few days. The intensity of training camp calls out a persons character and forces complete strangers to commit to one another in love. We've all been pushed and pulled out of our comfort zone and forced to show ourselves. The Lord is good to meet us here. Sitting around during team time tonight I looked at all the new faces in our circle and felt like we were really becoming a family. The Lord has been good to come with His generous spirit and give us all grace and love for one another. I've been trying so hard to figure each of these students out for the past few days, thinking that my love for them would depend on my ability to understand them. Listening to their hearts tonight the Lord stopped all of my frantic thinking, all He said was that each person I was looking at was His child and that they were each deeply valuable to Him. That is all we need to know about each other in order to bear together in love. Each person is unique and marked with a deep worth spoken in to being by the Father. Each has so much to offer; i'm grateful for how they've been knit together, and the beauty in each of them:
Maribeth's wisdom
Kayleen's compassion and humility
Kaley's joy
Kelsey Menke's hunger for truth
Christian's calming presence
Kelsey Scherven's gentle spirit
Megan's affirming nature
Evan's wisdom
Carlye's honesty
Kasey's pure heart
